I wrote to the CEOs, presidents, and general managers at Live Nation, Nikon, and Jones Beach Theater. I also wrote to executives and supervisors of Nassau County and Hempstead and to the various police chiefs/commissioners. And letters went out to the MTA and the LIRR presidents.
The Nassau County Executive sent me a response via mail and included the letter he wrote to LI Bus and he forwarded my letter to them.
The Nassau County Police Commissioner sent me an email and said it was the NYS Park Police jurisdiction and I followed up with them.
The general manager of the Jones Beach Theater received my letter plus the president of Live Nation forwarded my letter to him. He called me and we had a lovely chat. He was unaware of the situation, is going to immediately put up signs for a cab stand, and look into chartering buses. He’s not happy that his employees left us to fend for ourselves. He invited me back to a show in August (for free) to see the improvements he’s made. He is also going to keep me in the loop via email so that I know the steps he’s taking to improve the situation.
The GM thought my letter was clear and he liked my suggestions.
